While we wait for automation, NXP announces new automotive radar systems
Automakers have been installing radar sensors in vehicles for more than two decades to enable adaptive cruise control and blindspot detection systems. In the best decade radar has become increasingly ubiquitous even in mainstream cars. As regulators around the world begin to incorporate advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) into new car assessment program (NCAP) scores, NXP is launching a new radar platform to make it easier and more affordable to install these sensors.
