The self-driving car is a moonshot. Let’s not screw it up.

In the summer of 1969, men first walked on the moon. Nearly 50 years later, there are still no moon colonies or even vacation homes there. Instead, we now enjoy satellite communications, GPS, and other technologies that were enabled by the the space race.
