Sensors midwest 2018: LiDAR ToF measurements crucial for auto apps
A simplified description of time-of-flight (ToF) measurement would the measurement of the amount of time an object takes to travel a certain distance in a medium. Associated with Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology, which is most often associated with autonomous vehicles and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), the mediums we would expect ToF measurements to be made in would be air in different states (dry, humid, etc.) and possibly water (flooding situations).
