LIDAR Game of Thrones for driverless cars, there will be winners and there will be losers
The popular Games of Thrones series has a famed reputation for killing off characters of the provocative cable show, including primary characters, resulting in a rabid fan base that’s both on edge and yet eager or entranced to see who lives and who dies. It’s the same for those that are watching intently the makers of LIDAR, a type of sensor that combines light and radar, and for which some believe that any true driverless car will require, though, in a mesmerizing plot twist, some say LIDAR is categorically unnecessary for self-driving cars.
