IIHS launches autonomous-car tests—all but one fails

The U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety just unveiled its latest safety system ratings program today, this one regulating the semi-autonomous advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) or “self-driving” systems currently offered on some luxury cars, and all but one — Lexus’ top-of-the-line LS with its Teammate system — offered but “marginal” or “poor” performance.
