How Nissan’s ‘invisible-to-visible’ tech could pave the way for autonomous cars

At CES 2019, the Japanese automaker unveiled “invisible-to-visible” (I2V) tech that connects cars to a virtual world they call the “Metaverse.” It lets drivers “see” inside buildings to find parking spots or get driving lessons from virtual avatars. It may sound purely like science fiction, but Nissan recently began testing I2V at its Japanese proving grounds.
