Guidelines for trials of automated vehicles in Australia

The introduction of automated vehicles into Australia requires rapid advances in a number of key policy areas. The potential benefits of this technology are vast: improved road safety outcomes, increased mobility for an ageing population and people with a disability, as well as productivity and environmental efficiencies. Australia sits ready to embrace this new technology but first we need to know that these vehicles are safe to use.
