Europe to be the tortoise in the self-driving car race
While there are reasons to doubt Europe’s standing in the race, there are different reasons entirely to trust it will still be a part of the conversation. Judging by the size of the European economy, the importance of its automotive sector, and the interest of foreign companies (Waymo planning to expand to Europe and Lyft opening an AV hub in Munich) – it’s clear that AVs will have a future in Europe.
