Driverless Car Add-On Kits Are Dead Ends And By Degrees Sunk Drive.AI
A relatively smallish company named Drive.AI that had embarked upon trying to develop self-driving driverless car tech has closed its doors and otherwise been acquired by Apple. Presumably, the AI developers are being “acqui-hired,” a form of hiring of tech talent via acquisition of the firm that they were in, and in this case will consist of key developers being melded into Apple’s myriad of AI efforts including the secretive Project Titan autonomous car project.
