Autonomous vehicles (AVs) and shared autonomous vehicles (SAVs) have the potential to significantly change society’s transportation systems and land-use patterns, thereby impacting the quality of life for urban dwellers. A shift to self-driven cars affects what people do in their vehicles, their values of travel time, road safety, traffic congestion, and the natural environment.
