In some ways, Tony Posawatz is the forgotten man of the electric-car revolution. The longtime auto executive oversaw the launch of the Chevy Volt in 2011, ushering in a critical transitional vehicle. The Volt served up about 50 miles of all-electric range before switching to a small gas motor to make more juice, overcoming “range anxiety” and delivering an impressive 420-mile run on a full tank of gas.
