Einride’s self-driving goal is medium-haul electric trucks, not long haul. Here’s why.
Many companies are looking to make self-driving trucks. There’s a huge driver shortage, and it can do a lot to improve the economics and reliability of shipping. Most companies are tacking long-haul trucking in big tractor-trailers, but the Swedish company Einride thinks the best target is using self-driving and remote driving to enable electrification, and to do it on medium haul routes.
