Roborace sets a Guinness World Record for fastest autonomous car

Mostly when we think of autonomous vehicles, we think of ordinary road cars converted to be self-driving development vehicles or slow, built-to-purpose development rigs that will become delivery vehicles. We don’t think of self-driving cars as being fast. Apparently, nobody else did either, because the Roborace series was able to set a brand-new record for the fastest autonomous car over a two-run average at an airfield in the UK.
