Nuro’s 3rd generation delivery robot is ready for manufacture
Nuro, which has a good claim at being the leading (and certainly best funded) company in road-based autonomous delivery, has released its third-generation robot. It’s got larger and better cargo compartments, an improved sensor configuration and a similar but sleek new look. Nuro president Dave Ferguson says machine is now refined enough that they are building a factory to manufacture it at scale. Previously Nuro has operated with a small fleet of custom-built robots and done more of their self-drive system testing with regular cars.
