The auto industry is nowhere near the on-ramp for self-driving cars
The financial media seems to be catching on to the fact that “self-driving cars” really involve two disparate technologies. On the consumer side, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) do make cars safer, as the Wall Street Journal noted in a weekend piece, but the Journal writer seemed to misunderstand the technology behind those systems.
