Waymo says self-driving semis will travel Phoenix roads

Waymo said in a tweet Wednesday that its self-driving semitrucks will begin traveling freeways in the Phoenix area. A spokeswoman for Google’s self-driving affiliate told Automotive News in an email that the trucks will use the same sensors as passenger vehicles but are configured to account for the larger size.
