Data security for autonomous vehicles can and should be treated with respect
The list of privacy and security issues that bubble up as the auto industry grapples with autonomous and shared vehicles is long and getting longer. Whether it’s Uber knowing where you’re going or an automaker’s cloud-based navigation system that keeps track of your home address and the places you often go, any benefits to end users are tempered by the reality that this data could be a gold mine for unscrupulous companies.
