NVIDIA ups the ante in self-driving but hits a roadblock

NVIDIA NVDA faced criticism from Intel INTC owned Mobileye after it introduced Safety Force Field (SFF), a policy to protect driverless vehicles from collisions, at GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2019. At the event held last week, NVIDIA announced the addition of a planning and control layer to its NVIDIA DRIVE AV autonomous vehicle software suite to enhance safety and comfort of driving.
