Mobileye plans to deploy fully autonomous cars in 4 years

Watch out, Waymo — Mobileye has its sights set on you. The Tel Aviv developer of autonomous car systems, which Intel paid $15.3 billion to acquire in March 2017, had an eventful few days at CES 2019 in Las Vegas. During a presentation headlined by cofounder and CEO Amnon Shashua, Mobileye announced that two Chinese partners — Beijing Public Transport Corporation and Beijing Beytai — will tap its technology to develop a commercial public transportation service in China.
