Stop, Inform, Wait! How to handle an autonomous vehicle incident

The autonomous vehicle space is hurriedly testing and making the safety case for widespread use of their vehicles on our roadways. Certainly, overtime we have seen company after company providing statistics on millions of miles of testing.  In some instances, they are driving a significant number of miles free of disengagement, where human hands do not have to intercede in the driving task.
