Self-driving cars could spark an appalling mobility frenzy
A colleague the other day drove over to a local grocery store to grab some seasonal pies for the office, and then he drove about a half block’s distance to get a latte at his favorite coffee shop.
There’s nothing especially remarkable about this errand, other than the fact that rather than walking the half-block to get to the coffee shop from the grocery store, he instead opted to use his car.
